I was just informed that Brian Baker – frequent Cascade Games judge, passed away in his sleep last night from natural causes. Our prayers go out to him and his family.
I am shocked and sad. Brian was young and seemingly in good health. He will be missed.

This is so sad to hear. I’ve known him for a few years from working at different events with him. He’ll defiantly be missed.
Dont know if i’ve ever met Brian, but its sad to hear we lost one of our own.
Brian had a deep love for the game and for judging Magic, even when it didn’t necessarily always love him back. He knew this day was coming, but he never let it get the better of him; I only wish I had half that strength in the face of adversity. I feel fortunate that my last memory of Brian will be of how happy he was @ Crossroads on Friday, doing what he loved to do best.
This caught me completely by surprise as I had no idea that he had any sort of ailment.
I just couldn’t get over how freely he gave his time and efforts to help others enjoy a game he loved. He never asked for anything in return.
Magic at Uncle’s just isn’t going to be the same.
